Our range of environmental services and products will control and prevent the spread of legionella and other waterborne bacteria and ensure that you are compliant with the relevant guidelines and legislation.
Legionella Risk Assessment
Legionella risk assessments are a legal requirement as per the Health and Safety Act 2005. Our risk assessments cover all areas of water services on site including Cooling Towers, CWSTs, Calorifiers, Plate Heat Exchangers, and Showers among others. Our risk assessments come complete with schematics and are issued in draft form with a consultation meeting as standard prior to issuing the final report.
Water Sampling and Analysis
We conduct water sampling and analysis as part of ongoing legionella and other waterborne bacteria preventative maintenance programmes. We use an UKAS-accredited laboratory which tests for a wide range of microbiological and chemical parameters. On receipt of the results we issue a final report which contains a full breakdown of results as well as any corrective actions required.
Showerhead Clean and Disinfection
Showerhead clean and disinfection is a key factor in minimising the transfer of legionella from water source to host. All of our engineers and consultants are trained to carry out the task. We have our own shower head clean and disinfection rig onsite at IWM where we carry out the cleaning and disinfecting before sending the showerheads back to the client for use.
Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs) are typically used in water systems as anti-scald devices. Due to the temperatures that they operate at they are perceived as being a contributory factor to the growth of waterborne bacteria such as legionella. Our fully certified team of plumbers can carry out TMV servicing as part of a legionella control scheme.
